Sunday Comics #42: Murder (Read from bottom)

  1. Everyone dies. So it goes. Some people hold out for a 'normal death'.

The drawings are excellent. The wasp and spider are wonderful, for a man who liketh not bugs. The relationship of the faces in the final panels is interesting and compassionate. Hand grenade also good.

Conclude with suggestion to keep up good work-- especially pretty please with some of the narrative and character building brilliance of the fruit of the feet.

  2. Good comic, great dadular drawings.

My advice is to read it from top to bottom and find this poetic interpretation:

A man on his death bed reminisces about his time in the war, and then finds himself thinking about the tiny life forms of this world that he carelessly trod upon and never even thought about, and how they lived their own similarly transient lives, all equal in the uncaring eyes of the universe.

  3. Good suggestion, Tom. It does work pretty well top to bottom. This is some of the best stuff you ever did, pa. The drawings are excellent start to finish. The timing at the end/ beginning (top) is high-qual.

I second Conor's request for trying more chatty, detailed story-type comics. Not that this leaves me hanging.
