My comment didn't post for some reason. I also thought of Shel Silverstein, but not just in a Giving Tree kind of way, also in a timeless poetry + images combo kind of way. I think Dad is always drawn to the bedtime story/ folktale that feels like it's been there forever. I could see a whole book of illustrated analogies emerging out of this. All around spectacular. The week's winner.
This comic is one of my favorites on this site. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the Silverstein quality, maybe it's just the O'Keefe quality. I really love it. It caught my eye when I couldn't see the words and then I loved it more when I saw it up close.
Awesome comic, love the stable composition, reminds me of the Giving Tree.
