I can't thing of 4 things that better describe the O'Keefe beach experience. Everything's immediately legible. The glinting water under the ocean freighter is 'specially nice.
The colors on the ocean freighter panel are nice and remind me of painting that scene, but I do think the brown body of the ship could have been swapped for a more hazy bluish color. Though, on the other hand, the warm colors balance the panel in the overall comic.
Perfect simplification, from the cheerful cereal to the wisps and reflections in the water. The loose formation makes these feel more like memories than studied artwork. More impressionistic than impressionism.
