Once there was a cardboard rhino.
He was so mighty and fearsome.
That the villagers hid to conceal themselves from his wrath.
But their shelters were not enough to protect them.
After the attack, a small child was left behind.
The child set out across the grassy plains.
Into the lair of the cardboard rhino.
The rhino was angered.
And charged.
But the child, showing no fear, only smiled.
And the rhino, having never experienced kindness, halted his charge.
And he protected the child.
The rhino, no longer angry, and the child, no longer alone.
Truly excellent. Materials especially. I hope that this comic, along with he new site, will help CBR move into a new era of productive prosperity
ReplyDeleteDad's best ever post on the Rhino, and probably in the top 5 posts of all time. One giant horn for a rhino, One giant leap for the Rhino.
ReplyDeleteThis post deserves more than 2 comments. I am now revisiting the comic a few weeks later, after having been making cut out characters for a comic of my own. I didn't consciously make the connection to this comic, but this must be where the thought originated. Inspirational.
