Herman drew this entirely by himself, and it is his first drawing of a person. It is his first face, hands, feet, and orarion. The orarion, the stole a deacon wears, is the line extending from Dcn. Peter's left cheek to his left foot. Herman drew the face last, and when he saw what he had produced, his face beamed radiantly with amazement for several seconds.
Whooaaa, what a great expression on his face. He's already much better than Barry!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! That's pretty danged exciting. The face is nice and symmetrical, and the nose has some length - rather than just a dot. Classic snowball-full-of-sticks hand construction. Man. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteAmazing image here! It's very interesting that a body isn't present. I guess the body seems so passive that it just doesn't stick in the imagination the same way. The legs move you, you move the arms, the face shows your emotions and allows you to speak, what's the body do? It just connects everything so who needs it? Just stick the legs and arms directly to the face. I agree with Herman.
