Sunday Comics #30 (Tom)

Here's a little comic book I made using the folded up single sheet of paper method. It's supposed to be spooky. Here's a link to a giant picture.

Note that the comic must be read a little weirdly due to its original form, so think of each 2 panel chunk as its own page.

  1. Like:
    the guys comfy outfit
    The autumn grass
    The lettering on the cover
    The cover generally speaking.
    The guys runnin'
    This comic.

We need to do more collabs.

  2. You know this is going to be a great story from the lettering of the title on the first frame. It's like a horror movie, why make the audience wander into the story to figure out what's going on, why not just tell them, "It's about a river troll and a curse".
I'm a fan of nice crisp drawings, so the pencil technique comes off as a bit mushy to me, but the campiness of the images fits the genre. I particularly like the second frame with it's conical row of trees, beyond a too-narrow river, past a too-stiff man with eyebrows that obscure his eyes, in a pose and shirt that could make him Waldo's brother.

  3. Well pleasing. It seems that the river troll is more dangerous than the river goblin. I like the homely dude- his face makes the story more interesting because you start to think about who he is- maybe a good hearted guy who is sort of homely and socially awkward, kind of bored...
    ah, me
