I've been working on this character for a couple of weeks. I still don't have him quite right. My goal was to work on my own character. (Think Calvin, Charlie, Dennis, etc.) I was inspired by the way little kids look so wide. I wanted a signature shirt. (Where would Charlie Brown be without it?) and simple features. He made his first appearance last week. Hopefully he'll get better over time, like Charlie, below.

Let the hues of the sky filter through.

When my boys paint a shade,

Let its truth be conveyed.

Let the colors infuse every view.

Oh Lord, let me rest just a little.

Let me find a few hours to reflect.

Yes, I know I will spoil

If I’m not made to toil.

But I treasure the time I have left.

Some days, for myself, I feel sorry.

I complain of the things I have missed.
