The style of these drawings reach a level of tom-ness I haven't seen for a while. They remind me of 2004-2006-era Tom, of the "Brothers on a Plane" variety. The inclusion of a title, and a "by Tom" seal the deal. If I, as an art-historian were dating this comic from stylistic cues, I'd say mid-November 2004.
I concur with art-historical reference above, and I add that Tom continues his elevation of the everyday with his work. In his hands, ordinary situations and self-conversations, become eerily interesting.
