I agree with Tom about the tank. But also, I like the way it goes through the four panels; it starts off troubled, and seems to be this somewhat heavy hearted complaint about a somewhat misspent life, but the fourth panel is just a carefree optimistic start of the day, with no baggage. I'd call it just as not bad as cereal.
Nice, poetic, optimistic take on days in general. I like that, in this comic, it seems like the point of life is to build up interesting thoughts, memories and emotions for your dreams. Often as I'm falling asleep I get really excited about entering the dream world. It's like a very relaxing transition into another dimension where there are no permanent consequences and anything can happen.
Thank you. I also feel an eager anticipation of hallucinogenic fantasy just before I fall asleep. I sometimes try to extend it by talking – which becomes nonsense, but lengthens the period between wake and sleep. A treasured time of day.

ReplyDeleteHey, where did my comment go?
ReplyDeleteAs Coggles mentioned, I like the tank, but also the box man and everything else.
Good one Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThat third panel could stand alone. It should be framed for your bedside.
